I’m a little bit old school and enjoy the whole barbershop/salon experience so I really enjoyed getting the full MVP treatment. Really happy with the look Ernesto came up with and enjoyed the conversation that came along with it. It cost a little more than the lowest priced place in town but worth the extra difference.

I was given the worst haircut of my life. Not all of the hair was cut. There is stray long hairs everywhere. It’s overall very uneven and was a complete hack job. The stylist was very nice. However he seemed sort of passive aggressive. He repeatedly slapped my face with his comb while cutting my hair. I get that that it happens sometimes but this was repeatedly and very hard. He also seemed annoyed that I didn’t know exactly what I wanted by the length of the guards on the trimmers. Lastly when he was all done I asked him to go around my ears one more time. Normally hairs get missed there. He give me a very pissed look and just dog the trimmers into my ears. I left the store bleeding. Then he very harshly brushed the hair off with his hand and asked “is that better?” In a condescending tone. Despite him digging the razor into my ears I still left the store with king uncut hairs around my ears. Perhaps this guy was having a bad day. We all do. That is no reason to be rude and aggressive. Now I have to wear his bad day for the next few weeks.

When talking with my stylist about what I wanted done, I started to mention my beard and I was cut off and told that they don't do beards due to a mask mandate. I complained a little because I get my beard trimmed every month between two other barbers in Bloomington. I take my mask off and they leave theirs on. No big deal. Nevertheless, I needed a haircut so I stayed. The cut was very rushed. I also have terrible vision and can barely see myself in the mirror without my glasses. Eventually the guy stopped and I was expecting the usual question of "what do you think" or "did I take enough lenght off". Instead, he pulled the cape off and walked away without a word. I had to use the rest of my break to run home (which happened to be close by) and fix the parts of my hair I felt were not done right. I haven't done a 0 tip in almost 10 years, but well, he got one. Just be cordial and at least ask what I think before packing up.
